Job summary

Green by Nature is recruiting for a hands-on team leader in Canberra to guide gardeners and apprentices in delivering high-quality landscape spaces. You will lead by example, plan daily work, and ensure safety and efficiency across tasks with a strong emphasis on mentorship.

The role requires a Certificate III in Landscape Construction or related field, strong practical tool experience, and a current driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Landscape Contruction, Horticulture, Sports Turf or solid industryexperience.
• Proven ability to prioritise work and develop team members.
• Sound practical experience with tools and equipment (mowers, hedgers, whipper snippers, blowers, handtools, petrol).
• Current driver's licence is essential.
• WWVP, Police Check & White Card (or willingness to obtain).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop team members and apprentices.
• Work hands-on with your team.
• Ensure work is completed to a high standard.
• Operate and support maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Report progress, issues, and requirements to your manager.
• Pest and disease identification and treatment.
• Foster a culture of safety.
