Job summary

Interflow in Townsville is seeking motivated labourers to join our field crews on water and sewer pipeline rehabilitation projects. Permanent full-time roles with a mix of Townsville-based and FIFO duties, paid accommodation, and travel allowances.

Responsibilities include site prep, operating plant and equipment, and assisting civils tasks. We value safety, provide training, and offer ongoing career development within an essential services company.

Qualifications

• Experience on construction/site labouring tasks.
• Have a valid driver’s licence and White Card.
• Willingness to travel across Northern Queensland and work on rosters.

The Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for new team members to join our field crews working on water and sewer pipeline rehabilitation projects. With a great mix of Townsville based and FIFO work, you get to enjoy the best of both worlds! When you’re travelling you will receive paid accommodation, with a generous travel allowance on top per night.

The positions are permanent full-time offering a rewarding remuneration package including regular overtime.

Responsibilities include:

• General labouring including site preparation and onsite support
• Operating state‑of‑the‑art Plant & Equipment in pipeline renewal (cleaning and assessments, pipe lining, junction cut & seal and flow management)
• Associate civils including Manhole/Pit alteration with rehabilitation

Your background may be from one of the following:

• Pipe maintenance experience such as cleaning, pipe lining, CCTV or plumbing
• Water or wastewater infrastructure
• Or you might be looking to break into the industry, either way we would like to chat with you - We value our people and are ready to invest in you, providing all required training!

You will bring:

• Valid Drivers Licence
• OHS Construction Induction Card (White card)
• Have the ability to work on sites across Townsville with the opportunity to travel away to Northern QLD on a roster
• Good work ethic and positive work attitude
• A strong focus on safety
• HR or MR licence, Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights licences are desirable but not essential

To make sure that you’re fully fit to join our team you will also need to pass our pre‑employment medical which includes a drug & alcohol test. Please be aware that these roles may require you to enter confined spaces, successful candidates will be provided with certified confined spaces training if required.
