Job summary

Interflow is seeking a Crew Leader to join our field crews across South Eastern Melbourne. You will lead an on-site team and help deliver essential civil works in water infrastructure, reporting to the site supervisor.

The role is a permanent full-time position with opportunities to develop skills in the water industry. Applicants should have a valid driver’s licence, white card, and experience leading small crews on-site.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's Licence and White Card (OHS) are required.
• Experience leading small on-site crews on civil works.
• Ability to work across South Eastern Melbourne sites.
• Strong safety mindset and positive work attitude.
• MR/HR licences or excavator/skid steer tickets are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site crew of 1–4 to complete civil works per design and schedule.
• Liaise with clients to communicate project details and progress reports.
• General labouring including site prep and on-site support.
• Operate plant/equipment as required and ensure safety compliance.
• Support on-site logistics and crew coordination.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Crew Leader to join our field crews working across South Eastern Melbourne. In this role you’ll lead a on-site team and play a key part in delivering essential civil works across the water infrastructure space. This is a permanent full-time role with the chance to build your skills, and the opportunity to develop your career in the water industry.

Responsibilities include:

• Completing projects as per design within designated time frames
• Liaise with clients to communicate project details and progress reports
• General labouring including site preparation and onsite support
• Installation of new water pipelines, new customer connections, backfilling and reinstatement operations
• Operating state-of-the-art plant & equipment
• Leading a small team of 1-4 crew members

Your background may be from one of the following:

• Civil construction or pipelaying
• Water infrastructure
• Or you might be looking to break into the industry, either way we would like to chat with you - We value our people and are ready to invest in you, providing all required training!

You will bring:

• Valid Drivers Licence
• OHS Construction Induction Card (White card)
• Previous experience leading small crews on-site
• The ability to work on sites across South Eastern Melbourne
• Good work ethic and positive work attitude with a strong focus on safety
• HR or MR licence, excavator or skid steer tickets are desirable but not essential (we can also provide these)

To make sure that you’re fully fit to join our team you will also need to pass our pre-employment medical which includes a drug & alcohol test. Please be aware that these roles may require you to enter confined spaces, successful candidates will be provided with certified confined spaces training if required.
