Job summary

Toowoomba Regional Council is seeking a hands-on Pipeline Construction team member to install and upgrade underground water and wastewater infrastructure across the Toowoomba Region. The role is labouring-based with potential to operate crane truck and other construction equipment as required.

Hours are 6:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with 9-day fortnight and allowances for overtime. Applicants must have White Card, DG Dogger VOC, and a current crane licence, plus a pre-employment check.

Qualifications

• Year 10 education or equivalent experience enabling duties.
• White Card WHS competency for CPCWHS1001 or willingness to obtain.
• VOC for DG – Dogger, or obtained within 6 months of commencement.
• Current Vehicle Loading Crane high risk licence or obtained within 6 months.
• Good numeracy, literacy and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and upgrade water and wastewater mains as part of the Pipeline Construction Team.
• Labouring-based role with potential to operate crane truck and other equipment.
• Work lines: 6.30am–3.30pm, Monday to Friday.

What you'll need

• Year10 education OR a combination of experience, qualification, andcompetence, which enables you to perform all duties of thisposition.
• WhiteCard WHS competency for CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely inthe construction industry, or equivalent (or a willingness toobtain prior to commencement).
• WHScertificate of competency or VOC for ‘DG’ – Dogger (or obtainedwithin six (6) months of commencement).
• Current ‘CV’ - VehicleLoading Crane class high risk work licence (or obtained withinsix (6) months of commencement).
• Soundnumeracy, literacy and communication skills, with a 'can do'attitude.

Thepreferred candidate will be required to undertake a CriminalHistory Check and a pre-employment medical assessment to assesstheir ability to perform the genuine occupational requirements ofthe position.
