Job summary

Toowoomba Regional Council is seeking a Plant Operator to operate and maintain an Excavator and related tools, ensuring compliance with laws and procedures. You’ll also perform labour and other skilled tasks to a high standard while supporting Water & Sewer Maintenance teams.

You will follow safety guidelines, participate in after-hours/on-call roster, and may work across various areas to meet operational needs. This role offers stability within a dynamic local government environment.

Qualifications

• WHS Competency (White Card) for the construction industry.
• Current WHS Certificate of Competency for “LE” Excavator (up to 0.5 cubic meter capacity).

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain an Excavator and related tools in good condition and used in accordance with laws, policies and best practices.
• Perform labour and other skilled tasks to a high standard.
• Follow approved quality and environmental procedures and participate in the after-hours/on-call roster system.
• May be asked to work in all areas of Water and Sewer Maintenance depending on operational needs.

About You
