Job summary

Toowoomba Regional Council is seeking two permanent full-time Fleet & Logistics operators. The roles cover depots in Charlton, Pittsworth and Crows Nest, operating Truck and Dog and loaders across major projects.

The team offers a 6.00am to 3.00pm schedule with a nine-day fortnight, competitive hourly pay, and a range of allowances. A structured safety framework applies to all operators.

Qualifications

• Current HC Class Driver’s Licence is mandatory.
• White Card (CPCWHS1001) or willing to obtain before starting.
• SWNELP and TLIF0009 qualifications required within 3 months of commencement.

Responsibilities

• Operate Truck and Dog units and Front-end Loader equipment.
• Work across depots at Charlton, Pittsworth and Crows Nest.
• Adhere to safety, leave loading and shift schedules.

About the team

PlantOperators (Multiskilled) have the opportunity to work on anextensive range of job sites, from major construction tooperational jobs, providing an opportunity to experience the variedworks Council has to offer.

TheLogistics Operations team provides a range of heavy vehicles, plantand equipment for internal wet or dry hire to the internal areas ofCouncil.

About you

• Mandatory:
  • Current HeavyCombination ‘HC’ Class Driver’s Licence.
  • WHS Competency(White Card) for CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely inthe construction industry, or equivalent, or awillingness to obtain prior tocommencement.
  • SWNELP - SafeWork Near Electrical Live Parts (if not held, to beobtained within three (3) months ofcommencement).
  • TLIF0009 -Ensure the safety of transport activities (Chain ofResponsibility) (if not held, to be obtained withinthree (3) months of commencement).
• Desirable (not required at commencement):
  • CurrentMulti-Combination "MC" Class Driver’sLicence.
  • WHSCertificate of Competency or VOC for ‘LL’ Front-endLoader (>2L engine capacity) or RII Competency (orequivalent).

Thepreferred candidate will be required to undertake a CriminalHistory Check and a pre-employment medical assessment to assesstheir ability to perform the genuine occupational requirements ofthe position.
