Job summary

Toowoomba Regional Council seeks a skilled Plant Operator based at the Goombungee Depot to safely operate and maintain plant and equipment for construction and maintenance projects in the Toowoomba region.

The role offers a nine-day fortnight, early starts 6:00am–3:00pm, and competitive pay with 17.5% leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation. You will join a supportive CMN team committed to community service.

Qualifications

• WHS Certificate of Competency or VOC for LR (road roller) or equivalent.
• WHS Competency (White Card) CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, or equivalent.
• Traffic Awareness Part 1 and 2 within 3 months of commencement.
• Substantial experience operating plant, including a roller.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain plant and equipment for road construction and maintenance.
• Work from Goombungee Depot on a nine-day fortnight arrangement.
• Ensure safety and compliance with WHS requirements.

About the position

• GreatPay - $34.41 per hour, with a gross wage of $2,615.12per fortnight.

How to be successful in this position

Hold themandatory qualifications, training and experience, as outlinedbelow:

• WHSCertificate of Competency or VOC for ‘LR’ – Road Roller (>2Lengine capacity) or RII Competency (or equivalent).
• WHSCompetency (White Card) for CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safelyin the construction industry, or equivalent, or if not held, tobe obtained prior to commencement.
• Working in Proximityto Traffic Awareness Part 1 and 2, or if not held, to beobtained within three (3) months of commencement.
• Substantial experiencein operating related plant, including operating aRoller.
