Job summary

Vertical Scope Group in Canberra seeks a driven Kubernetes Engineer with NV2/PV clearance to join our award-winning team. You will deliver and administer Kubernetes-based solutions and contribute to architecture and automation.

The role focuses on secure, scalable cloud-native infrastructure, ongoing monitoring, patching, and documentation, with collaboration across the project team. Canberra-based opportunity with a strong emphasis on compliance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience with container technologies, especially Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of kubeadm, K3s or Rancher Kubernetes.
• Current NV2 or PV clearance preferred.
• Canberra-based.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and administer functional system solutions using Kubernetes.
• Troubleshoot and maintain scalable, secure Kubernetes solutions.
• Contribute to cluster architecture and deployment.
• Identify opportunities to consolidate and improve cloud capabilities.
• Carry out monitoring, logging and observability for availability.
• Ensure security and patching and audit logging.
• Develop automation and solution maturity.

Job description

Join Vertical Scope Group’s (VSG) client in Canberra as we seek a driven, highly skilled and competent, NV2/PV cleared, Kubernetes Engineer to join our award-winning team in supporting our long-term costumer.

About you

• Experience with container technologies (eg. Kubernetes)
• Knowledge and or experience with kubeadm, K3s or Rancher Kubernetes
• Have a current NV2 or PV ideally
• Canberra based

About the role

• Deliver and administer functional system solutions using Kubernetes technologies
• Troubleshoot and maintain scalable, repeatable and secure functional system solutions
• Contribute to cluster architecture and their deployment
• Identify opportunities to consolidate, simplify, streamline, and continually improve cloud based, or cloud utilising capabilities
• Carry out ongoing monitoring, logging and observability to ensure availability and currency of Kubernetes solutions
• Ensure the capability remains secure and hardened, including regular patching, compliance and audit logging
• Contribute and develop automation and solution maturity
• Ensure appropriate documentation is maintained
• Collaborate with the wider team as well as project
