Senior Virtual Desktop System Administrator

Vertical Scope Group – Consultant – Expert, Trusted & Reputable in ICT and Cyber

Join Vertical Scope Group’s Professional Services Division as we are seeking a driven, highly skilled and competent TSPV, Senior Virtual Desktop System Administrator to support our Defence and National Intelligence Community customers.

About You:

• Must have or must be able to obtain a TSPV clearance.
• Can be based in ACT, QLD, VIC and SA.
• Demonstrated knowledge to design, build, test and operate ICT systems and network services.

About the role:

• Design, test and deploy new versions of the Windows operating system, build and maintain system images and provide integration for VMware and Citrix VDI Platforms.
• Integrate and support management of security software and configurations.
• Provide and develop VM image and template automation.
• Implement VDI performance monitoring and tool tuning for a dynamic network environment.
• Implement regular checks to confirm system health status, including hardware and software.
• Develop and operate a backup and recovery service for virtualised Windows systems.
• Preferable - Integrate with MFA solutions.
• Preferable - Develop and operate a Windows Server platform including Active Directory, DNS, PKI, remote desktop services and WSUS.
• Preferable - Troubleshoot and resolve Windows issues.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Demonstrated experience and qualifications in administering Omnissa (VMware EUC) and Citrix Cloud technologies.
• Deployment and imaging technology troubleshooting.
• Desirable - Demonstrated experience and qualifications in Microsoft server and desktop technologies (including Exchange, WSUS, MECM).
• Desirable - Experience in Microsoft PowerShell scripting.
