Job summary

Delaware North Australia is hiring a Kitchenhand to join our team at Lizard Island Resort. As Kitchenhand, you will support chefs and help maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen in a remote, island setting.

You will gain hands-on learning, work with a professional team delivering a 5-star guest experience, and have access to training and development opportunities. Applicants should have experience in safe kitchen practices, hold food safety certification or be willing to obtain it,

Qualifications

• Experience in maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
• Self-motivated and proactive personality.
• Hold food safety certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Experience working within resorts or similar remote living environment, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene to required standard
• Support the teams across all the kitchens in the resort
• Assist Chefs with basic food preparation
