VDG Services is seeking experienced Kitchen/Stewarding/Cleaning Services team members for permanent roles at prestigious 5-star hotels in the Brisbane CBD. These positions focus on maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of commercial kitchens, stewarding areas and F&B outlets.

In a fast-paced hospitality environment, candidates must show a strong work ethic, attention to detail and commitment to HACCP standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Steward, Kitchen Hand or Cleaner, preferably in a 5-star hotel.
• Good presentation and fluent English.
• Strong understanding of kitchen equipment, chemical handling, HACCP and safety requirements.
• Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
• Willingness to rotate day and overnight shifts across a seven-day roster.

Responsibilities

• Flexible to work day and night shifts.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-volume kitchens.
• Assist with food preparation.
• Clean and maintain all kitchen areas per health, safety and HACCP standards.
• Clean and sanitise kitchen appliances and equipment.

Kitchen/Stewarding/Cleaning Services - Full-Time – 5 Star Hotels | Brisbane CBD

We are seeking experienced Kitchen/Stewarding/Cleaning Services team members to join the VDG Family for permanent roles at prestigious 5-star hotels in the Brisbane CBD.

These positions are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of commercial kitchens, stewarding operations, back-of-house areas and food & beverage outlets. This is a fast-paced hospitality environment requiring strong work ethic, attention to detail and commitment to HACCP standards. This is not housekeeping.

These positions suit candidates who take pride in world-class presentation standards and understand the expectations of a luxury hotel environment.

Available Shifts

• AM, PM and Overnight shifts available
• Weekend availability required
• Full-time & Part-time positions

Duties & Responsibilities

• Flexible ability to work both day and night shifts
• Proven experience working in fast-paced, high-volume commercial kitchens
• Experience assisting with food preparation
• Routine cleaning and maintenance of all kitchen areas, ensuring compliance with health, safety and HACCP standards
• Knowledge of deep cleaning and sanitising commercial kitchens, ensuring all checklists and tasks are completed to the highest standard
• Comply with required safety regulations and procedures
• Experience in the use and cleaning of commercial kitchen appliances and machinery
• Maintain clean and tidy kitchen storerooms at all times
• Work safely with chemicals to assist with the cleaning process
• Ensure correct working order of food and beverage equipment and report broken or damaged equipment to supervisors or relevant departments for repair

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Steward, Kitchen Hand or Cleaner is essential, preferably within a 5-star hotel environment
• Good presentation, communication skills and fluency in English
• Strong understanding of commercial kitchen equipment, chemical handling, food safety, HACCP and workplace health and safety requirements
• Ability to work within a team and perform under pressure
• Willingness and ability to work rotating day and overnight shifts across a seven-day roster
