Job summary

Royal on the Park Hotel & Suites in Brisbane is seeking a creative Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. Full-time with rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays, and full Australian working rights.

You’ll contribute across kitchen sections and support the Head Chef with stock control and cost management. We offer a fun, dedicated team, discounts on parking, food and accom- modation, and opportunities to grow within a historic hotel overlooking the river.

• Confidence and skill in all sections of a kitchen.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Maintain consistent standards of quality, presentation and hygiene.
• Eye for detail and passion for creating high-quality food.
• Ability to manage, train and develop junior staff.
• Experience developing new dishes, concepts, menus and products.

Responsibilities

• Daily food preparation in line with food safety standards and practices.
• Preparing the right food quantities for daily service.
• Keeping up to date with new products, recipes and preparation techniques.
• Working across all areas of the kitchen.
• Supporting the Head Chef with ordering and stock control.
• Working with other kitchen sections on cleanliness, wastage and cost control.
• Completing weekly stocktakes.
• Maintaining compliance with all aspects of the Food Licence.
• Going above and beyond to exceed guest expectations.

We’re looking for a creative Chef de Partie who loves to learn and wants to grow with our kitchen team. You’ll be part of a fun, dedicated team and culture where you’ll be supported and encouraged to develop your skills.

This is a full-time position, so full working rights in Australia and full availability across a rotating roster, including early, late, weekend and public holiday shifts, are required.

About the Role

What We Need From You

• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) and/or 3+ years' full-time experience as a Chef
