Job summary

Catering HQ in Sydney is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Hand to join our busy kitchen teams at Club Parramatta and venues across Sydney. You will help with cleaning, food prep, stock control, and ensuring WHS standards are met in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities for training and career growth.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a high-volume catering or kitchen hand role is essential.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of WHS guidelines and safety practices.
• Available to work mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
• Able to follow directions and work collaboratively within a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong English communication skills.
• Knife skills are a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Thorough cleaning of the kitchen, including dishes and floors.
• Food preparation assistance.
• Stock rotation and stock control.
• Following all health and safety procedures when carrying out tasks.
• Any other adhoc duties as required by chefs and management.
• Operating a commercial dishwasher to a high standard.

Catering HQ is seeking a hard working Kitchen Hand to join our dedicated Kitchen teams at Club Parramatta! We have opportunities all over Sydney!

KEY DUTIES

• Thorough cleaning of the kitchen, including dishes and floors
• Food preparation assistance
• Stock rotation and stock control
• Following all health and safety procedures when carrying out all tasks
• Any other adhoc duties as required by our fantastic Chefs and Management
• Operating a commercial dishwasher to a high standard
• Assist with general kitchen duties under the direction of the Head Chef

KEY QUALITIES

• Previous experience in a high-volume catering or kitchen hand role is essential
• Proven experience working in a commercial kitchen environment
• Knowledge of WHS (Work Health & Safety) guidelines
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings
• Ability to follow direction and work collaboratively within a team
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills in English
• Knife skills are a bonus – we’d love to see them!
