• Wash and sanitise all kitchen utensils, dishes, pots and pans using industrial dishwashing equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including sweeping, mopping and sanitising surfaces; keep areas organized.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
• Monitor dishware and kitchen supplies and notify when inventory is low.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines for a safe kitchen.
• Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service.

About the Role:

As a Kitchen Steward, you'll be responsible for maintaining a clean and organised kitchen, supporting the team with dishwashing, and helping ensure equipment and work areas are safe and ready for service.

Your duties will include:

• Wash and sanitise all kitchen utensils, dishes, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashing equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitising all surfaces. Keep dishwashing and storage areas clean and organized.
• Assist kitchen staff with food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
• Keep track of dishware and kitchen supplies, and notify the chef or manager when inventory is low.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring that the kitchen is a safe and hygienic environment.
• Collaborate with chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations.

About You:

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward or in a similar role is a plus but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail.
