Job summary

Alsahwa Estate in Palmwoods on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland is seeking a casual kitchen team member to help maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation, and health and safety.

You will wash dishes, support the kitchen, and work flexible evenings, weekends, and holidays, with training provided and opportunities to grow within our award-winning farm-to-table restaurant. Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not essential; a positive attitude and reliability are key.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a busy kitchen is preferred.
• Strong attention to food quality and safety.
• Good teamwork and communication.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a commercial kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes including pots, pans, cutlery, crockery to a high standard
• Sweep, scrub and mop floors
• Maintain consistent food quality and portion control
• Ensure proper food storage and minimize waste
• Maintain kitchen equipment and workstation cleanliness
• Comply with all health and safety regulations
• Assist other restaurant departments as required
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
