Job summary

Verandah Bar in New South Wales is seeking a reliable Kitchen Hand to help keep the kitchen running smoothly day in and day out. You will support our chefs, maintain cleanliness and food safety, and assist with basic prep, deliveries, and waste management during service.

No extensive experience is required; training will be provided. This role offers a supportive kitchen team and opportunities to grow within the group.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Food Handling certificate.
• No extensive kitchen experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning during service.
• Assist with basic food preparation as directed by chefs.
• Receive, check and store deliveries correctly.
• Maintain cleanliness of cool rooms and workstations to food safety standards.
• Manage rubbish and recycling and keep kitchen presentable.
• Support team during busy service periods.
