Job summary

San Telmo is seeking a Casual Kitchen Hand at Restaurant Award Level 1 in Melbourne. You’ll help keep the kitchen running with dishwashing, cleaning and basic prep during busy services while supporting the kitchen team.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen hand or hospitality experience is preferred.

• Keeping the kitchen running smoothly through dishwashing, cleaning and maintaining organised kitchen and wash-up areas.
• Supporting the kitchen team with basic food preparation, deliveries, storage and general kitchen duties as required.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety and hygiene throughout busy services.

Position Available

Casual Kitchen Hand – Restaurant Award Level 1

Monday–Friday: $33.05 per hour
Saturday: $39.66 per hour
Sunday: $39.66 per hour
Public Holidays: $66.10 per hour

Your Day-to-Day Will Include

Keeping the kitchen running smoothly through dishwashing, cleaning and maintaining organised kitchen and wash-up areas

Supporting the kitchen team with basic food preparation, deliveries, storage and general kitchen duties as required

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety and hygiene throughout busy services

What We’re Looking For

Previous kitchen hand or hospitality experience is preferred, but a strong attitude and willingness to learn are just as important

Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment and maintain excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
