Job summary

Arlec is seeking a Junior Purchasing Officer to join our Purchasing and Supply Chain/Logistics team in Melbourne. You will help process FOB orders, schedule deliveries, and coordinate with our China office and freight forwarders.

The role requires attention to detail, analytical thinking, and proficient Mandarin; a tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or Finance, along with strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems such as Pronto, SAP, or Oracle.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Mandarin is mandatory.
• A tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or Finance.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Process FOB orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Place purchase orders timely based on forecast and promotions.
• Liaise with China office and freight forwarders on shipment dates.
• Verify shipping documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Manage incoming freight, customs clearances, and paperwork.
• Ensure warehouse stock levels and coordinate transfers.
• Participate in forecast reviews and stakeholder meetings.
• Collaborate to meet customer expectations.
