Job summary

Jardan Australia is seeking a part-time Purchasing and Import Freight Coordinator to support the Purchasing team, manage international freight, import documentation, shipment tracking and purchasing admin. The role reports to the Head of Purchasing and is based onsite at our Scoresby HQ.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in purchasing/logistics, experience with domestic and international suppliers, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, logistics or import administration.
• Experience sourcing from domestic and international suppliers.
• Understanding of inventory control principles and production scheduling requirements.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end admin for overseas LCL and FCL shipments, from supplier dispatch to arrival.
• Compile and check shipping, commercial and customs docs (invoices, packing lists, B/L).
• Track ETDs, ETAs and milestones; keep shipment data up to date.
• Monitor progress and address delays, discrepancies, or delivery issues.
• Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers and logistics partners for docs and updates.
• Provide shipment updates to Purchasing, Operations, Warehouse and other stakeholders.
• Resolve discrepancies between supplier docs, purchase orders and shipments.
• Maintain visibility of upcoming inbound shipments and delivery dates with the team.
• Support day-to-day purchasing activities: PO administration, supplier follow-ups, data entry, reporting.
• Maintain accurate supplier, purchasing and shipment records in systems.
