Job summary

The BUSY Group, based at Southport Head Office, is seeking a Junior IT Asset Officer to support IT hardware/software asset management across the organisation. You will work with the IT team to ensure accurate asset data and lifecycle tracking, assisting onboarding and offboarding of staff equipment.

Ideal for someone early in their IT career, this 6-month full-time fixed-term contract offers hands-on admin, technology, and process-improvement experience in a not-for-profit environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with asset management processes and data accuracy.
• Knowledge of IT asset lifecycles and procurement workflows.
• Familiar with hardware/software asset tracking and onboarding/offboarding processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records within asset management systems and databases.
• Receive, tag, store, allocate and retire IT equipment.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding and internal transfers.
• Support stocktakes, asset audits and reconciliations.
• Prepare devices and accessories for deployment.
• Assist with procurement activities including purchase requests and order tracking.
• Maintain warranty, repair and supplier records.
• Support software license tracking and renewal activities.
• Respond to routine asset-related enquiries from staff and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers for lifecycle processes.
