Job summary

Amida Recruit AU is seeking an experienced Foreman to join a dynamic construction head contractor working on a $150m+ medium-rise residential project in the Queensland market. The ideal candidate will have head contractor exposure, 8+ storey residential experience preferred, and local knowledge of the Gold Coast, Brisbane or Sunshine Coast regions.

Queensland construction experience is highly desirable. Strong leadership, communication and site coordination skills are essential to deliver safely

Qualifications

• Trade background and site supervision experience are essential.
• Experience as a Supervisor/Foreman on residential or mixed-use projects is required.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and site operations.
• Ability to lead, motivate and manage subcontractors effectively.
• Solid knowledge of Australian building standards and WHS requirements.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on, organised and outcomes-focused approach.
• Queensland construction experience ideal.

Responsibilities

• Site supervision and coordination of subcontractors and on-site labour.
• Plan daily works and ensure tasks are completed to program.
• Manage site activities to maintain productivity and workflow.
• Coordinate deliveries, materials and plant on site.
• Ensure works meet quality standards and WHS policies.
• Assist with short-term programming and look-ahead schedules.
• Report progress, issues and delays to Site Manager.
• Support defect management and project milestones through to completion.

Our client is a construction head contractor and as a result of continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Foreman to join their team to work on a $150m+ medium-rise residential project amongst others.

The candidate will ideally have some experience working on head contractor side on 8+ storey medium rise residential projects in the Gold Coast / Brisbane / Sunshine Coast market with local knowledge. They will also look at candidates without local experience too ideally looking with medium rise residential experience.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Site Supervision & Trade Coordination

• Supervising and coordinating subcontractors and site labour
• Planning daily works and ensuring tasks are completed to program
• Managing site activities to maintain productivity and workflow
• Coordinating deliveries, materials and plant on site

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensuring all works are delivered to required quality standards
• Enforcing WHS policies, procedures and safe work practices
• Conducting toolbox talks, safety inspections and pre-starts
• Identifying and resolving site issues in a proactive manner

Program & Reporting Support

• Assisting with short-term programming and look-ahead schedules
• Reporting progress, issues and delays to the Site Manager
• Supporting defect management and quality inspections
• Assisting with project milestones through to completion
