Job summary

Central Coast Council NSW is seeking an emerging planning professional to assess development applications, conduct site inspections and contribute to land use planning outcomes on the Central Coast. You will work with experienced planners, building expertise through hands-on assessment, research and stakeholder engagement.

The role offers a temporary full-time contract with hybrid and flexible working arrangements, including a 9-day fortnight, located at Wyong Administrative Building.

Qualifications

• Studying or already completing a degree in Urban and Regional Planning.
• Strong understanding of local and regional planning concepts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assess development applications and undertake site inspections.
• Engage with stakeholders and attend planning meetings.
• Contribute to land use planning outcomes and project delivery.
