Job summary

Maitland City Council is seeking an experienced Senior Development Planner for a temporary, part-time role. You will assess complex development applications, apply planning expertise, and advise on council policies across the Maitland area.

The six-month contract offers 24 hours weekly (or 48 hours per fortnight) with a pro-rata salary of $116,437 to $129,245 per year plus 12% superannuation. Flexible hours may be available subject to operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Town Planning or related discipline.
• Significant experience assessing complex development applications.
• Strong knowledge of Environmental Planning and Assessment Act.
• Ability to interpret planning controls and provide sound recommendations.
• Current Class C driver license.

• Provide clear, practical advice to support quality development outcomes.
