Job summary

Hawkesbury City Council is seeking a motivated planning professional to assess Development Applications and provide customer service within a hybrid work arrangement. Reporting to the Coordinator Town Planning, you will support the Local Planning Panel and contribute to planning outcomes for diverse communities.

Key requirements include tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or a related discipline, experience with development assessment, and knowledge of applicable Acts.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or a related discipline.
• Experience in the assessment of development applications.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Environment Planning & Assessment Act 1979 and Local Government Act 1993 and related legislation.
• Right to live and work in Australia.
• Class C Drivers Licence.
• WHS General Construction Work in NSW.
• Working with Children Check (WWCC).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the assessment of Development Applications and associated customer service functions.
• Assist the Local Planning Panel in their consideration of Development Applications.
• Provide expert evidence in the Land and Environment Court of NSW.
