Job description

Junior Accounts & Administration Assistant – Part Time (3 Days)

New Space Constructions Pty Ltd – Bondi Junction NSW

We are looking for a reliable, organised and motivated Junior Accounts & Administration Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis.

This is a hands‑on support role working closely with the Accounts Manager and assisting with the day‑to‑day accounts and administration of an established property and construction business.

We are looking for someone with the right attitude, good attention to detail and a genuine willingness to learn. Training will be provided.

The role is office‑based, three days per week.

About the Role

You will work directly with and provide support to the Accounts Manager across accounts payable, accounts receivable, record keeping and general business administration.

Initially, you will be given clear guidance and training. As you become more confident and familiar with our systems and processes, you will have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities and develop practical experience across different areas of accounts and administration.

This is a varied role and a good opportunity for someone who wants to gain hands‑on business experience rather than purely theoretical knowledge.

  • Following up suppliers and other third parties for invoices, statements and supporting documents

  • Assisting with company records and general business documentation

  • Monitoring and updating administrative registers

  • Assisting with general office administration

  • Providing day‑to‑day administrative support to the Accounts Manager and management team

About You

We are interested in finding someone who is reliable, capable and willing to learn.

You will ideally:

  • Be reliable, punctual and responsible

  • Have excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • Have basic Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills

  • Have good written and verbal communication skills

  • Be confident using computers and learning new systems

  • Be comfortable asking questions when you are unsure

  • Be able to follow instructions carefully

  • Be willing to take responsibility for your work

  • Be comfortable with both routine tasks and varied administrative work

  • Have a positive and practical approach to problem solving

  • Be able to work independently once trained

  • Be genuinely interested in learning and developing your skills

Studies in accounting, finance, business, commerce or a related field would be advantageous but are not essential.

Previous office, retail, hospitality or customer service experience would also be viewed favourably, even if you have never worked in an accounts role before.

What We Offer

  • A permanent part‑time role – 3 days per week

  • Hands‑on training and support

  • Practical experience in accounts and business administration

  • Exposure to the property and construction industry

  • Opportunity to learn accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and other accounting processes

  • Direct support and training from an experienced Accounts Manager

  • A varied role where your responsibilities can grow as your skills develop

  • Opportunity for longer‑term career development within the business

  • A professional and supportive office environment
