Job summary

CGC Recruitment is seeking a Junior Contracts Administrator to support a Civil Infrastructure project in Adelaide. This 1-month contract focuses on cost tracking, subcontract administration and invoicing in a busy project environment.

You will work with the Commercial/Project Management team and gain hands-on experience in COINS and AP processes, with immediate start available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

  • Some experience in a contracts administration, accounts payable or project administration role.
  • Civil construction or infrastructure experience is highly regarded.
  • Available to start immediately or on short notice.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with subcontract documentation and purchase orders administration.
  • Process and reconcile invoices against POs and delivery dockets.
  • Support cost tracking, accruals and month-end reporting.
  • Maintain project cost records in COINS or similar systems.
  • Track outstanding invoices and respond to payment queries.
  • Assist with variations and payment schedule administration.
  • Support procurement documentation and delivery dockets.
  • Liaise with subcontractors on invoicing and account queries.
  • Keep project files organized for audit readiness.

Junior Contracts Administrator - Civil Infrastructure

Our client is a mid-tier civil construction contractor delivering infrastructure projects across South Australia. They are seeking a Junior Contracts Administrator to join their project team on an initial 1-month contract, providing administrative and financial support across an active civil construction project. Immediate start available for the right candidate.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their contracts administration career to gain hands‑on experience within a busy civil infrastructure environment, working closely with the Commercial and Project Management team.

About The Role

Based in the Adelaide CBD office, and reporting to the Contracts Manager/Commercial Manager, you will support the day-to-day administration of subcontracts, purchase orders, and invoicing, ensuring accurate cost tracking and timely processing across the project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation and administration of subcontract documentation and purchase orders
  • Process and reconcile subcontractor and supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy against POs and delivery dockets
  • Support month-end close processes, including cost tracking, accruals, and reporting
  • Maintain accurate project cost records within relevant systems (e.g. COINS)
  • Track and follow up outstanding invoices and payment queries
  • Assist with variations, progress claims, and payment schedule administration
  • Support procurement documentation, including GRNs and delivery dockets
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers on invoicing and account queries
  • Maintain organised project files and documentation for audit readiness
  • Provide general administrative support to the commercial and project team
About You
  • Some experience in a contracts administration, accounts payable, or project administration role — civil construction or infrastructure experience highly regarded
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when processing financial documentation
  • Confident working with numbers and reconciling invoices/POs
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Experience with COINS or similar project cost systems advantageous but not essential
  • Available to start immediately or on short notice
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a commercial/contracts function
