Job summary

Recruitmark is partnering with an Australian provider to recruit a Contract Administrator for nationwide infrastructure projects. You will manage end-to-end contract administration across multiple active sites, ensuring compliance, cost control, and accurate reporting.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years’ experience in construction or industrial projects, strong communication skills, and the ability to juggle priorities across several concurrent projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a Contract Administrator within construction, civil, infrastructure or industrial projects.
  • Solid understanding of contract administration processes including cost control, variations management and procurement support.
  • Experience in project financial reporting and commercial governance.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review and submit progress claims and variation assessments in line with project timelines.
  • Track project expenditure and cost movements; support accurate cost reports and forecasts.
  • Review subcontract scopes and assist with procurement documentation and onboarding.
  • Manage contractual notices, registers and milestone documentation.
  • Assist in final accounts, contract close-out and resolution of commercial queries.
  • Provide timely commercial updates in project meetings to aid decisions.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to support the commercial delivery of industrial facilities, critical infrastructure, and security installation projects across Australia. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end contract administration process across multiple active projects, working closely with Project Managers and site teams to ensure contractual compliance, effective cost control and accurate commercial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing, reviewing and submitting progress claims, subcontractor claims and variation assessments in line with project timelines.
  • Tracking project expenditure, commitments and cost movements, and assisting in maintaining accurate cost reports and forecasts.
  • Reviewing subcontract scopes, assisting with procurement documentation and supporting the commercial onboarding of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Managing contractual notices, maintaining registers and ensuring key milestones and deliverables are documented and followed up.
  • Assisting in the preparation of final accounts, contract close-out documentation and resolution of commercial queries.
  • Participating in project meetings and providing timely commercial updates to support informed decision-making.
About You:
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a Contract Administrator within construction, civil, infrastructure or industrial project environments.
  • Solid understanding of contract administration processes including cost control, variations management, procurement support and project financial reporting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with Project Managers, site teams, subcontractors and clients.
  • Well-organised with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple active projects.
