Job summary

Australian Training Company is offering an Information Technology Traineeship in Western Sydney for a motivated recent school leaver. You will gain hands-on IT experience in a school environment and work toward a Certificate III in Information Technology under the guidance of a supervisor and mentor.

Location: Western Sydney schools. Hours: Mon–Fri, 8:00am–4:00pm. This is a full-time traineeship with a two-year program and pathways into IT roles within the Diocese.

Qualifications

• Recent school leaver seeking IT entry-level experience.
• Reliable, punctual and eager to learn new skills.
• Willing to develop technical knowledge and assist in IT support.

Responsibilities

• Log and record IT issues using a ticketing system.
• Triaging issues and tracking resolution progress.
• Communicate with school staff and students about IT issues.
• Assist with general IT maintenance and technical support.
• Learn networking and support a large school network.
• Log and maintain IT assets records.
• Develop troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
