Job summary

West HQ is seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our ICT team in Sydney. You’ll support, maintain, and improve the technology infrastructure that keeps our venues and operations running, across hospitality, entertainment, fitness and operations.

You’ll manage Windows Server, AD, Entra ID,Intune and Microsoft 365, monitor performance and security, and script automations with PowerShell while working with vendors and MSPs on projects and outages.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Systems Administration, Infrastructure Support or a similar technical role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with virtualisation, server infrastructure, storage and backup technologies.
• Experience supporting Cisco networking, enterprise switching, wireless, VPNs and firewalls.
• A sound understanding of network troubleshooting, cybersecurity and infrastructure best practices.
• Experience with security patching, vulnerability management and endpoint protection.
• PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and documentation skills.
• The ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders, vendors and technology partners.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain server, virtualisation, storage and backup infrastructure.
• Manage Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID and associated identity services.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, security and availability.
• Manage security patching, vulnerability remediation and system maintenance.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for infrastructure-related issues.
• Support Cisco networking, switching, wireless, VPN and firewall environments.
• Support operational technology including CCTV, telephony and paging systems.
• Assist with infrastructure upgrades, migrations and technology projects.
• Work with technology vendors and managed service providers to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain system documentation, diagrams and technical knowledge.
• Participate in planned after-hours maintenance and emergency support when required.
