Job summary

West HQ is seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our ICT team in Sydney. You’ll support, maintain, and improve the technology infrastructure that keeps our venues and operations running, across hospitality, entertainment, fitness and operations.

You’ll manage Windows Server, AD, Entra ID,Intune and Microsoft 365, monitor performance and security, and script automations with PowerShell while working with vendors and MSPs on projects and outages.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Systems Administration, Infrastructure Support or a similar technical role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with virtualisation, server infrastructure, storage and backup technologies.
• Experience supporting Cisco networking, enterprise switching, wireless, VPNs and firewalls.
• A sound understanding of network troubleshooting, cybersecurity and infrastructure best practices.
• Experience with security patching, vulnerability management and endpoint protection.
• PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and documentation skills.
• The ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders, vendors and technology partners.

Responsibilities

• Support operational technology including CCTV, telephony and paging systems.
• Assist with infrastructure upgrades, migrations and technology projects.
• Work with technology vendors and managed service providers to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain system documentation, diagrams and technical knowledge.
• Participate in planned after-hours maintenance and emergency support when required.

Are you an experienced IT professional who enjoys solving complex problems and working across a diverse technology environment?

West HQ is looking for an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our ICT team. Reporting to the Head of ICT, you’ll play a key role in supporting, maintaining and improving the technology infrastructure that keeps our venues and operations running.

This is a hands‑on role with exposure to a broad range of enterprise technologies across hospitality, entertainment, fitness and operational environments.

The day-to-day:

• Administer and maintain server, virtualisation, storage and backup infrastructure

You’ll Bring:

Experience with Azure, VMware, Meraki, CrowdStrike, Defender, Veeam or SIEM platforms will be highly regarded, along with relevant Microsoft, VMware, Cisco or ITIL certifications.
