Job summary

West HQ is seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our ICT team. You will support, maintain and improve the infrastructure across hospitality and entertainment environments, with exposure to a broad range of enterprise technologies.

This hands-on role reports to the Head of ICT and involves after-hours maintenance as required, with opportunities to work on infrastructure upgrades and technology projects.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Systems Administration, Infrastructure Support or a similar technical role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with virtualization, server infrastructure, storage and backup technologies.
• Experience supporting Cisco networking, enterprise switching, wireless, VPNs and firewalls.
• Understanding of network troubleshooting, cybersecurity and infrastructure best practices.
• Experience with security patching, vulnerability management and endpoint protection.
• PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and documentation skills.

Are you an experienced IT professional who enjoys solving complex problems and working across a diverse technology environment?

West HQ is looking for an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our ICT team. Reporting to the Head of ICT, you’ll play a key role in supporting, maintaining and improving the technology infrastructure that keeps our venues and operations running.

This is a hands-on role with exposure to a broad range of enterprise technologies across hospitality, entertainment, fitness and operational environments.

The day-to-day:

• Administer and maintain server, virtualisation, storage and backup infrastructure
• Manage Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID and associated identity services
• Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, security and availability
• Manage security patching, vulnerability remediation and system maintenance
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for infrastructure-related issues
• Support Cisco networking, switching, wireless, VPN and firewall environments
• Support operational technology including CCTV, telephony and paging systems
• Assist with infrastructure upgrades, migrations and technology projects
• Work with technology vendors and managed service providers to resolve technical issues
• Maintain system documentation, diagrams and technical knowledge
• Participate in planned after-hours maintenance and emergency support when required

You’ll Bring:

• Extensive experience in Systems Administration, Infrastructure Support or a similar technical role

• Experience with virtualisation, server infrastructure, storage and backup technologies
• Experience supporting Cisco networking, enterprise switching, wireless, VPNs and firewalls
• A sound understanding of network troubleshooting, cybersecurity and infrastructure best practices
• Experience with security patching, vulnerability management and endpoint protection
• PowerShell scripting and automation skills
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and documentation skills
• The ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders, vendors and technology partners

Experience with Azure, VMware, Meraki, CrowdStrike, Defender, Veeam or SIEM platforms will be highly regarded, along with relevant Microsoft, VMware, Cisco or ITIL certifications.
