Job summary

Ignite is seeking an IT Support Officer for Broadbeach, QLD to deliver frontline technical helpdesk support to end-users and maintain secure, high-performing IT environments across our multi-site operations.

You'll install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software, manage incidents via ticketing, support networking, and apply security patches while delivering excellent customer service in a dynamic team setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in IT.
• Proven experience in IT Helpdesk or Service Desk environment.
• Experience supporting users and multi-site ICT environments.
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN/WLAN and networking troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Windows and macOS and common business software.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support to end-users and resolve hardware, software, and system issues.
• Manage incidents via ticketing system and ensure SLA compliance and proper documentation.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware, peripherals, and software.
• Perform system upgrades, software updates, and security patching activities.
• Support LAN, WAN, and WLAN environments and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Deploy and configure laptops, workstations, and user accounts in line with security requirements.
• Maintain IT security standards including access management, backups and policy compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve IT processes and service delivery.

Who you are:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in an IT Helpdesk, Service Desk, Desktop Support, or similar technical support environment.
• Demonstrated experience supporting users, ICT systems, and multi-site technology environments.
• Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN infrastructure, networking fundamentals, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience supporting routers, switches, wireless access points, and network connectivity.
• Proficiency supporting Windows, macOS, and common business software applications.
• Strong understanding of IT security standards, controls, and best practices.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
