Job summary

Ignite Travel Group is seeking an IT Support Officer in Broadbeach, QLD. This hands-on role supports end-users, manages incidents, deploys hardware/workstations, and maintains a secure computing environment while enabling a productive workforce.

You will troubleshoot IT issues, support network infrastructure, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Suitable candidates have IT/CS degrees or equivalent experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in IT Helpdesk, Service Desk, Desktop Support, or similar technical support environment.
• Experience supporting ICT systems and multi-site technology environments.
• Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN infrastructure and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience supporting routers, switches, wireless APs, and network connectivity.
• Proficiency with Windows and macOS and common business software applications.
• Strong understanding of IT security standards, controls, and best practices.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and customer service skills with ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support to end-users and resolve hardware, software, and system issues.
• Manage incidents and service requests through the ticketing system with SLA compliance.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware, peripherals, and software.
• Perform system upgrades, software updates, and security patching.
• Support LAN, WAN, and WLAN environments and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Deploy and configure laptops, workstations, and user accounts per security requirements.
• Maintain IT security standards including backups and access controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve IT processes and service delivery.

Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, you will work closely with managers and team members across the business, delivering exceptional technical support and maintaining a reliable computing environment. This is a hands-on opportunity where you'll troubleshoot issues, support network infrastructure, deploy new technology, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the overall employee experience.

A day in the life:

Who you are:
