Job summary

EIL GLOBAL is seeking an experienced Freelance AV & EUC Support Engineer in Canberra to provide on-site technical support for end-user computing and AV systems on an on-call basis. This role is suitable for engineers who can provide reliable on-site support during business hours, depending on client requirements and scheduled assignments.

You will troubleshoot desktops, laptops, peripherals, and meeting room AV equipment, while maintaining service reports and professional client communications.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of onsite EUC/desktop/AV support experience.
• Hands-on troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and AV equipment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Proven troubleshooting and excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage on-site assignments.
• Based in Canberra or nearby; able to travel to client sites as required.
• Must have the legal right to work in Australia.
• Freelance / on-call assignments; work allocated based on client requirements and engineer availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support for desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, and other end-user devices.
• Set up, configure, and troubleshoot AV equipment including meeting room displays, projectors, and video conferencing systems.
• Assist with meeting room setup and resolve AV connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity, and peripherals.
• Support Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and common end-user applications.
• Perform device installations, replacements, and basic configuration tasks.
• Maintain accurate service reports and submit SVRs after each assignment.

This opportunity is suitable for engineers who can provide reliable on-site support during business hours, depending on client requirements and scheduled assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support for desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, and other end-user devices.


• Set up, configure, and troubleshoot AV equipment, including meeting room displays, projectors, microphones, speakers, and video conferencing systems.


• Assist with meeting room setup and resolve AV connectivity issues.


• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity, and peripheral-related issues.


• Support Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and common end-user applications.


• Perform device installations, replacements, and basic configuration tasks.


• Maintain accurate service reports and submit Service Visit Reports (SVRs) after each assignment.


• Communicate professionally with clients and provide timely updates on completed activities.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in onsite EUC, desktop support, or AV support.


• Hands-on experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, peripherals, and meeting room AV equipment.


• Good knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.


• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
