You’ll deliver Level 2/3 IT support to keep site users and operations running, troubleshoot desktops, networks and servers, and coordinate with wider technical teams.

Title

Level 2/3 IT Support / Infrastructure Technician – FIFO 60–80 per hour Super

Pearson Carter is recruiting for an IT service provider supporting a major Western Australian mining operation. You’ll take on varied site support work across enterprise infrastructure, with excellent camp facilities, food and accommodation during your FIFO assignment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Level 2/3 IT support to keep site users and operational teams working effectively.

• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, hardware and end-user applications.

• Resolve networking, communications and wireless connectivity issues across the site.

• Support servers and infrastructure, working with technologies including Cisco, Dell, Cisco UCS and Pure Storage.

• Work independently on site, coordinating with wider technical teams and escalating complex issues when required.

Experience

Essential:

• Previous FIFO experience.

• Strong Level 2/3 IT support experience, with broad knowledge of desktop support, networking, communications, servers and infrastructure.

• Clear communication and a practical, customer-focused approach to troubleshooting.

• Confidence working independently in a remote environment and in hot, challenging site conditions.

Advantageous:

• Experience supporting mining operations or other remote sites.

• Exposure to Cisco networking, Dell hardware, Cisco UCS, Pure Storage and enterprise wireless environments.

• Operational Technology (OT) experience.

Salary

60–80 per hour Super, depending on experience.

You’ll join on an initial three-month contract, with potential to extend based on performance. The assignment offers excellent camp facilities, food and accommodation, alongside exposure to a varied enterprise technology environment.

Location

FIFO to a mining site in Western Australia.

You’ll provide hands‑on support in a remote operational environment where reliable infrastructure and responsive IT service make a direct difference to daily work.
