Job summary

Daydream Island Resort is seeking a Guest Service Agent to deliver friendly, professional service throughout the guest stay. You will welcome guests, check in, assist with enquiries, manage reservations and payments, and ensure a memorable experience with a focus on accuracy and proactive service.

Role requires excellent communication, customer service and teamwork. Opera/Fidelio experience and Microsoft Office proficiency are highly valued; live-on island is provided.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate strong teamwork and willingness to assist colleagues when needed.
• Exhibit excellent telephone etiquette with negotiation and upselling skills.
• Manage time effectively to ensure productive and efficient service.
• Remain calm, composed and professional under pressure.
• Build positive working relationships with colleagues, guests and other departments.
• Have Front Office or Reception experience with Opera/Fidelio (Opera Cloud desirable).
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with computer-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure professionalism and accuracy when handling guest information, billing, arrivals, and departures.
• Follow all cash-handling, security, and hotel procedures to maintain accurate and secure transactions.
• Review reservations to ensure guest details, room types, and rates are correct.
• Accurately record, communicate, and follow up on guest messages and requests.
• Make the guest experience a priority at all times by providing friendly, professional, and efficient service.
• Use a positive and proactive selling approach to maximise occupancy, room rates, and overall revenue.
• Work effectively with other departments to ensure smooth day-to-day hotel operations and a high standard of guest satisfaction.
