Job summary

Hamilton Island is seeking a committed and skilled Demi Chef to join the kitchen team at the Hamilton Island Golf Club on Dent Island. You will assist in the preparation and presentation of quality dishes, working closely with senior chefs to ensure consistency and efficiency during high-volume lunch service.

Ideal candidates have a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and experience in a commercial kitchen, with strong time management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is required.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen environment is required.
• Solid understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Strong time management and communication skills are essential.
• Australian working rights and driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and presentation of quality dishes across kitchen sections.
• Support senior chefs to ensure consistency and efficiency in high-volume, lunch-focused service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your station.
• Rotate through kitchen sections to gain well-rounded experience.
• Contribute to daily prep, plating, and smooth kitchen operations.
