Malek Fahd Islamic School invites a dedicated Islamic Studies Teacher to join its Greenacre Primary Campus. The role is part-time and focused on delivering engaging Islamic Studies lessons to primary students within MFIS’s Islamic education framework.

The successful candidate will develop lesson plans, foster a supportive learning environment, and contribute to students’ holistic development while aligning with MFIS values and stricter student protection standards.

Qualifications

• Formal Islamic Studies qualifications (Diploma, Graduate Certificate, Bachelor or Masters) are essential.
• A teaching degree is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to embed MFIS vision, values and pedagogy in lessons.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, parents and staff.

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated, passionate and qualified Islamic Studies Teacher to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Islamic Studies to primary students. This role involves developing engaging and informative lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and contributing to the holistic development of our students.

Selection Criteria

Demonstrates and displays an understanding of the Islamic ethos of the school, supporting the school’s philosophy, values, beliefs, and mission whilst contributing to a caring and supportive environment for all students, parents, and staff.

Ability to teach and model to the school community the religious beliefs of the school.

Formal qualifications in Islamic Studies such as Diploma, or Graduate Certificate, or Bachelor, or Masters degreeis essential.A teaching degree is desirable but not essential.

Ability to embed the MFIS vision and educational philosophy effectively, resulting in successful outcomes for all learners.

Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.

Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to engage in continuous
learning to embed the Islamic worldview and pedagogy. Teachers will be supported in implementing the T&L Framework through training programs including the Grad Cert of Education (Islamic Education).

Development and implementation of appropriate, quality assessment tasks and assessment schedules.
