Job summary

Foundry Talent Partners is seeking an Investment Analyst for our client, an established Australian asset manager in Sydney. The role covers the full investment process from research and portfolio construction through to trading, compliance and performance reporting.

You’ll work with senior portfolio managers, build models in Excel, analyse markets, and prepare materials for the investment committee. This is a hands-on, collaborative role in a small team.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years’ experience in investment research or related role.
• Solid understanding of Australian investment markets, assets and platforms.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint with an analytical mindset.
• Degree in finance or economics; CFA progress well regarded.
• Clear written and verbal communicator; autonomous and team player.
• Strong attention to detail and sound judgement.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyse investment opportunities across asset classes.
• Build and maintain models to support portfolio construction and risk analysis.
• Monitor markets and economic conditions and contribute investment views.
• Prepare materials for investment committee and senior managers.
• Support day-to-day running of portfolios including positioning and oversight.
• Produce performance and portfolio reporting for internal and client audiences.
• Contribute ideas to new products and to improving the investment process.
