Job summary

Hydrogen Group partners with a leading Australian financial services organisation to identify an experienced Investment Process Analyst to support a major transformation within Investments, focusing on exposure management and future-state operating models.

You will map current processes, design target operating models, analyse data flows, and collaborate with investment teams across asset classes using Excel, SQL and data platforms.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in investment operations and transformation programs.

Investment Process Analyst

Location: Sydney | Hybrid

Engagement: 6 month daily rate contract

Opportunity

• We are partnering with a leading Australian financial services organisation seeking an experienced Investment Process Analyst to support a significant transformation program within its Investments function.
• he role will focus on an Exposure Management Program, supporting the development of improved investment processes, future-state operating models and business change across the organisation.
• We are looking for someone who combines strong investment domain knowledge with business process analysis, investment data and operating model transformation experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with investment teams to understand exposure management, portfolio rebalancing, investment operations and associated workflows.
• Analyse investment processes, portfolio data, fund structures and operational dependencies across multiple asset classes.
• Identify inefficiencies, data quality issues and opportunities to improve investment processes, controls and reporting.
• Conduct comprehensive current-state assessments across Investments, Operations, Data, Technology and other impacted teams.
• Facilitate workshops to document existing processes, responsibilities, dependencies and operational challenges.
• Design and document future-state investment processes and the proposed target operating model.
• Conduct detailed business impact assessments to identify how proposed changes will affect teams, processes, roles and responsibilities.
• Develop change management plans to support the transition to the future-state operating model.
• Work with investment data and reporting teams to understand data flows, reporting requirements and operational dependencies.
• Analyse and validate investment data using tools such as Excel, SQL and investment data platforms.
• Support initiatives involving investment reporting, data quality, ESG and responsible investment where relevant.

Experience

• We are looking for an experienced Investment Process Analyst, Investment Business Analyst or Senior Business Process Analyst who brings a combination of investment expertise and strong transformation capabilities.
• Strong investment domain knowledge, gained within superannuation, asset management or investment management.
• Exposure to exposure management and portfolio rebalancing, with an understanding of the associated investment processes and operational requirements.
• Strong understanding of investment operations, fund structures, portfolio management and investment workflows.
• Demonstrated experience in end-to-end business process mapping, current-state/future-state analysis and target operating model design.
• Experience conducting business impact assessments across multiple business
• Experience supporting exposure management or portfolio rebalancing transformation programs.
• Knowledge of investment data and reporting across multiple asset classes.
• Experience using FactSet, Bloomberg, Morningstar or similar investment data platforms.
• SQL skills and advanced Excel capabilities, including investment data analysis and validation.
• Exposure to ESG, responsible investment reporting or investment governance.
