Job summary

Job description

Our client is an Australian investment organisation seeking a Reportingand Analytics Manager to strengthen its portfolio reporting and broader business analytics capability.

Working within Investment Services, you will deliver accurate, timely reporting on portfolio performance, businesstrends and strategic outcomes. You will partner with investment and business teams to improve how data is governed, analysed and presented, while coaching an Analyst and helping set reporting priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare regular and on-demand portfolio reporting for management, executives and the Board.

Develop reporting frameworks, dashboards and scorecards that make complex data accessible to different audiences.

Analyse portfolio data to identify key metrics, trends, opportunities and risks.

Maintain data quality through reconciliations, testing, validation and reporting controls.

Partner with Technology and business teams to improve data accessibility and automate reporting.

Work with senior stakeholders across Investments, Finance, Risk and other teams to turn reporting needs into practical solutions.

Skills & Experience:

At least 5 years' experience across portfolio reporting, investment analytics, business intelligence, investment operations or a related field.

Experience in investment management, private markets, government investment funds, banking, infrastructure investment or financial services.

Advanced Excel and experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar reporting tools.

Strong understanding of data quality, governance, reporting controls and analytical methods.

Experience building dashboards, improving reporting processes and introducing automation.

Clear communication skills and the confidence to present insights to senior stakeholders and executives.

The ability to manage competing priorities and develop a junior team member.

Contribute to an investment mandate focused on building Australia's industrial capability.

Work across a broad portfolio and engage with stakeholders throughout the organisation.

Help shape reporting and analytics capability as the organisation develops.

This is a permanent position and can be based in Sydney or Melbourne.
