Job summary

GENERAL Australia is seeking an experienced Inventory Controller to own inventory accuracy across Australia and New Zealand. Based in Western Sydney, you’ll work with warehouse, 3PL, sales and supply chain teams to improve stock integrity and reporting.

You will analyse discrepancies, drive process improvements, and contribute to SOPs while managing returns, damaged stock and routine counts. This role offers stability in a leading HVAC brand, with opportunities to impact inventory controls

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in Inventory Management with strong data analysis.
• Experience using and optimizing inventory management systems.
• Ability to analyse data, investigate variances and communicate with teams.
• Tertiary qualification in Purchasing, Logistics or Inventory Management desirable.

At GENERAL Australia, formerly Fujitsu General Australia, we’re looking for an experienced Inventory Controller who enjoys getting into the detail, investigating discrepancies and finding better ways to keep inventory moving accurately across the business.

Based in the Huntingwood area, you’ll work across our ANZ supply chain and collaborate with warehouse, 3PL, sales and Supply Chain teams. It’s an opportunity to use your inventory expertise in a role where your analysis, ideas and attention to detail can genuinely improve the way we work.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of inventory control across specified finished-goods warehouse locations in Australia and New Zealand.

Your responsibilities will include coordinating annual stocktakes and regular cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies and system variances, and ensuring inventory records remain aligned between internal and warehouse systems.

You’ll also manage returned goods, write-offs, damaged stock and seconds inventory, while working closely with warehouse and 3PL partners to resolve issues.

Importantly, this isn’t just about identifying problems. You’ll analyse trends, provide inventory reporting and insights, contribute to policies and SOPs, and support system testing and process improvements that strengthen inventory accuracy across the business.

Ideal Candidate

You’ll bring at least three years’ experience in Inventory Management, together with strong experience using and optimising inventory management systems.

You’re comfortable analysing data, investigating variances and getting to the bottom of inventory issues. Strong attention to detail is important, but so is your ability to communicate clearly and build productive relationships with different teams and external warehouse partners.

Experience in 3PL warehousing, process improvement, SOP development, performance reporting or WH&S will be highly regarded. A tertiary qualification in Purchasing, Logistics or Inventory Management is desirable.
