Job summary

Linfox Pty Ltd is seeking an Inventory Manager at Marsden Park, NSW, Australia. You will lead two Inventory Controllers and report to the Site Manager to ensure stock accuracy, effective capacity planning and secure data integrity across WMS records.

You will drive inventory controls, coach the team, and collaborate with operations to enhance service outcomes for the customer in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide a robust inventory management program with accurate stocktakes and cycle counts.
• Proactively manage customer relationships, reporting and inventory expertise.
• Coach, develop and manage Inventory Controller capability to build a high-performing team.
• Generate daily reconciliations, investigate variances and rectify inaccuracies.
• Develop and implement policies, training and procedures strengthening compliance and continuous improvement.

Job description

The Inventory Manager is a key site leadership role, responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, strengthening inventory controls and supporting effective capacity planning in this high-volume, dynamic DC. This role plays an integral part in providing inventory and system integrity, enabling efficient resource allocation and throughput, and delivering confidence for our highly valued customer.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will lead two direct reports (Inventory Controllers) responsible for the accuracy of WMS inventory records across product quantities, locations, stock age, bond, remissions, breakages and production receipts. A key focus will be building team capability while ensuring the efficient and cost-effective receipt, storage, picking and despatch of goods. Key areas:

• Provision of a robust inventory management program, ensuring stocktake and cycle counts provide an accurate foundation for operational planning
• Proactive customer relationship management, including reporting and provision of technical inventory expertise to support superior service outcomes
• Coaching, developing and managing Inventory Controller capability to build a high-performing, accountable team
• Generate daily reconciliations, investigate and address variances, and rectify factors affecting inventory accuracy
• Develop and implement policies, training and procedures that strengthen compliance and promote continuous improvement

• Confidence leading, coaching and developing a small team, with a focus on capability uplift and accountability
• A process-driven, analytical and methodical approach, with the ability to influence stakeholders across operations and customer groups
• Experience developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across multiple functions
