Job summary

Bluestar Global Logistics is seeking an Inventory Controller to maintain accurate stock records, run cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies across client accounts. You will work with warehouse teams and clients to ensure stock integrity and service excellence, contributing to process improvements in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience in inventory control, strong Excel skills, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in inventory control or stock management in a 3PL or warehouse environment.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory levels across multiple client accounts.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and stocktakes; investigate variances.
• Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
• Generate and analyse inventory reports to support decisions.
• Collaborate with warehouse, customer service and transport teams.
• Inform clients about stock movements and adjustments.
• Support continuous improvement of inventory processes.

About the Role

As ourInventory Controller, you’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting stock reconciliations, investigating discrepancies, and supporting smooth warehouse operations. You’ll work closely with warehouse staff, clients, and management to ensure stock integrity and service excellence.

What You’ll Do

• Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels across multiple client accounts
• Conduct regular cycle counts, stocktakes, and variance investigations
• Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner
• Generate and analyse inventory reports to support decision-making
• Liaise with warehouse, customer service, and transport teams to ensure operational accuracy
• Maintain strong communication with clients regarding stock movements and adjustments
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and inventory process optimisation
