Job summary

Elite Attachments Australia, based at Bayswater North VIC, is seeking an Inventory Analyst to join the Finance team. You will manage stock levels, liaise with sales to forecast demand, and work with BOMs to align purchasing with production needs.

You will place local and China-office orders and optimise import processes. The role requires BOM experience, overseas supplier exposure, and strong analytical and organizational skills, with proficiency in Excel and Ostendo ERP.

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Analyst to become a key member in our Finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, analyse and monitor inventory levels to ensure stock availability and accuracy.


• Liaise with the sales department to forecast demand and avoid shortages or overstocking.


• Work extensively with Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accurate purchasing aligned with production requirements


• Place purchase orders both locally and through our China office.


• Liaise with China office to ensure orders are on track for timely delivery.


• Coordinate with China office, manage importing processes, and calculate shipment costings to optimize supply chain efficiency


• Process inventory receipts into Ostendo (ERP system)


• Perform regular inventory counts.


• Draft inventory reports that document inventory counts, discrepancies, and other statistical data.


• Reporting inventory statistics to management and recommend improvements to inventory control.


• Coordinating with other workers to resolve discrepancies with inventory.


• Creating and maintaining inventory databases and systems for accurately managing inventory.

Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience in inventory management or purchasing (minimum 2 years preferred)


• Hands-on experience with Bills of Materials (BOMs) is essential


• Experience dealing with overseas suppliers, importing procedures, and shipment costings is required


• Strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills.


• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities


• Proficiency in inventory management software and Excel (intermediate/advanced knowledge would be an advantage)


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Ability to speak Chinese would be an advantage.


• Communicates clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally.
