Job summary

RecruitShop in Sydney is seeking an Internal Customer Service Representative to join a long-standing wholesale marine business. You will combine customer service, telesales and account management across an established NSW client base. This full-time, office-based role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 am–4:30 pm from Homebush West. You will take inbound inquiries, process orders, grow sales and maintain strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of proven experience in internal customer service or telesales.
• Strong customer service skills with a professional and helpful approach.
• Confidence proactively contacting customers and identifying sales opportunities.
• Ability to manage customer enquiries, orders and account-related questions.
• Attention to detail when maintaining customer and order information.
• Willingness to learn and work well with a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Receive customer calls and emails and convert enquiries into sales orders within the ERP system
• Process online orders and coordinate with the operations team through to completion
• Handle customer enquiries relating to orders, invoices, products and account matters
• Proactively contact existing telesales customers according to a call schedule
• Introduce new products and identify opportunities to increase sales across existing accounts
• Maintain up-to-date customer information in the company database
• Promote use of the online webstore while developing product knowledge

About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to provide responsive customer service while processing orders, managing enquiries and proactively supporting sales growth across an established NSW customer territory.

Working closely with the wider team, you will manage inbound customer enquiries while proactively contacting existing customers to promote products, increase spending and maintain strong ongoing relationships.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Receive customer calls and emails and convert enquiries into sales orders within the ERP system
• Process online orders and coordinate with the operational team through to completion
• Handle customer enquiries relating to orders, invoices, products and general account matters
• Proactively contact existing telesales customers according to an agreed call schedule
• Introduce new products and identify opportunities to increase sales across existing accounts
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information within the company database
• Promote use of the online webstore while continuously developing your product knowledge

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• 2-4 years of proven experience in internal customer service or telesales
• Strong customer service skills with a professional and helpful approach
• Confidence proactively contacting customers and identifying sales opportunities
• Ability to manage customer enquiries, orders and account-related questions
• Strong attention to detail when maintaining customer and order information
• A collaborative approach with integrity, professionalism and a willingness to learn

An interest or hobby in boating will be advantageous but is not essential.
