Job summary

Linfox in Cairns, QLD, is seeking a Transport Coordinator to support daily transport operations. You will help manage driver schedules, route planning and customer requirements while upholding safety standards and DIFOT targets.

The role offers a Monday–Friday, day-shift schedule in a busy intermodal team, with opportunities to develop operational capability and progress within Linfox’s logistics network.

Qualifications

• Operational role within the Transport/Logistics industry.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of fatigue management and transport compliance is highly regarded.
• Confident communication with drivers, customers and stakeholders.
• Customer-focused approach to delivering freight safely and on time.

Responsibilities

• Allocate daily prime mover movements across deliveries to ensure safe, efficient freight delivery.
• Plan and optimise delivery routes based on rail freight and fleet utilisation.
• Coordinate delivery schedules around customer requirements and DIFOT performance.
• Communicate with drivers, customers and internal stakeholders to resolve challenges and maintain service outcomes.
• Champion safety and compliance, including fatigue management and KPI adherence.
• Monitor operational data to identify opportunities to improve fleet efficiency and reduce costs.
