Job summary

Linfox Intermodal in Mackay region seeks a transport operations coordinator to schedule freight movements, work with drivers, subcontractors and customers, and ensure rail freight aligns with service commitments within a large-scale logistics network.

This is a 6-month contract with a day shift, Monday–Friday from 5:00am to 1:00pm, offering exposure to safety, reporting and strong customer relationships as you develop transport operations expertise.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience coordinating transport operations within a logistics environment.
• Knowledge of transport compliance, safety requirements and operational procedures.
• Experience using transport systems and manifests.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily pickup and delivery schedules to meet customer service commitments and delivery windows.
• Plan fleet utilisation and allocate freight movements based on train manifests and operational requirements.
• Communicate work allocations to drivers, subcontractors and forklift operators.
• Maintain bookings, paperwork, and reports to support reporting and compliance.
• Monitor safety, fatigue and compliance requirements and escalate incidents as needed.
• Build strong customer relationships and provide responsive support to stakeholders.
