Job summary

MyChoice Design Studio is seeking an Interior Design Assistant to support the design team with administrative tasks, client hospitality during appointments, and studio upkeep. You will help with sample preparation, ordering, and inventory management in a welcoming studio environment.

The role offers an accessible entry point into interior design with opportunities to learn design aesthetics, processes, and customer service excellence within a renowned home-building group.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Interior Decoration and Design or equivalent.
• Strong communication and customer-service focus is essential.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to keep records and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Support the interior design team with administrative tasks.
• Welcome clients to the studio and assist with ordering and refreshments during appointments.
• Manage inventory, stock items, and maintain studio presentation.
• Update product information and variation records as needed.
• Assist with hosting information sessions and event days.

About the opportunity

The Interior Design Assistant works closely with the Interior Design team to provide them with support across administration, coordination, customer service and adhoc assistance. More specifically, you will:

• Assist with preparation for appointments including collating relevant documents, forms, flat lays and samples.
• Welcome clients into the studio, assisting with ordering, collecting and delivering food and beverages during the client’s appointment.
• All-rounder duties include overseeing inventory levels, ordering and restocking items and general studio upkeep.
• Other administrative duties may include updating product information, updating variation, electrical appointment set ups etc.
• Assist with hosting Customer Information Evenings, VIP nights & Expo Days.

About you

You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values; better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger. In addition, you will:

• Currently studying or completed a Diploma of Interior Decoration and Design or similar
• A willingness to develop a strong understanding of design aesthetic and conceptual skills
• Commitment to providing excellence in customer service and strong communication skills
• Demonstrated attention to detail and strong record keeping, planning and organising
• Desire to build a long terms career in Interior Design
• A commitment to working as one team
