Job summary

Zoom Recruitment is seeking an Instructional Designer Vocational Training to develop competency-based training and assessment for technical and vocational staff. You will convert SOPs into engaging online modules and leverage Elevate, Articulate and Synthesia to shorten upskill times.

You will collaborate with process managers and SMEs to ensure training aligns with regulatory and WHS requirements, while driving adoption and impact across the workforce.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is required.
• Experience designing competency-based training and eLearning.
• Ability to collaborate with SMEs and frontline staff to deliver training.

Responsibilities

• Create interactive online training modules from SOPs to reduce upskill time.
• Utilise Elevate, Articulate and Synthesia to build engaging modules.
• Consult with process managers, SMEs and staff to advise learning strategy.
• Lead the rollout of updated training materials and programs.
• Incorporate regulatory, legal and WHS requirements into training packages.
• Design and implement adult learning programs including competency-based training/assessment.
• Support WHS improvements through training and assessment packages.

The Instructional Designer Vocational Training is responsible for supporting training strategies by developing effective and engaging competency-based training and assessment packages for all employees and contractors in technical and vocational skills.

Role

• Responsible for taking documents such as SOP's and creating interactive online training modules to reduce training upskill time and increase employee engagement
• Elevate, Articulate and Synthesia are programs used to create online training modules
• Must have Certificate IV in Training and assessment
• Consult with business process managers, subject matter experts and front-line staff to provide learning strategy advice and recommendations to deliver competency-based training.
• Lead the implementation of new or updated training materials.
• Interpret and incorporate Linde and regulatory/legislative/legal requirements into training packages.
• Interpret and incorporate regulatory/legislative/legal requirements into training packages.
• Demonstrated experience designing, developing and implementing adult learning programs, including Competency Based Training/Assessment and eLearning packages

The aims of the training program are to:

• Reduce training up-skill time
• Increase employee engagement; and
• Reduce training related safety incidents.

These outcomes will be achieved by:

• Providing training and assessment consultancy services/advice to the business
• Designing and developing best practice training and assessment materials and programs
• Supporting change to realise the effective take up training and assessment packages by learners

The Instructional Designer will support Work Health & Safety (WHS) improvements and regulatory compliance by developing and implementing training and assessment packages that complement and reinforce management systems and processes.
